Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The Best item upgrader method to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you upgrade your gear without having rely on expensive trades or drops. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your items.

Upgrading equipment grants an additional bonus to the item's base stats. This bonus scales with the upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components are the parts that can make your weapons and armor better. They can be found by destroying enemies, buying them from karma sellers or finding them in items-spheres. You can also get them from equipment that has the components or by using high-tier salvage kits such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed by removing them from the item.

Upgrade components are primarily used to improve an item however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be forged to give additional bonuses. For instance, a designed glyph will increase the chance of upgrading its target, while the boost upgrade can boost the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.

You can connect an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. It will display the list of upgrade components that the item can be upgraded to. Alternatively, you can use the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been collected.

Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines how much experience an item can gain when upgraded using the component. Organic components, for example have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore recommended to upgrade with organic components until you reach the experience multiplier of the next rank of the weapon or gear, and then move to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with a maximum upgrade number that can be received. The number of upgrades available is determined by the upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. The most powerful upgrade is a weapon that is the tier 10. The most common weapon upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects that all share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade increases the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. To upgrade an item you will require the required amount of Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each type. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector and are available for purchase with Gold. The NPC will also provide a special reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward is rerollable once, and the reroll will be made using the same materials used in the original item.

Rerolling

A player can reroll any item acquired in the game if they have enough tokens. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be purchased from the store for an amount of in-game currency. However, they aren't refundable. The new item will have the same bonuses as the previous one, but the stats will also differ.

Players can change the identification of their equipment, in addition to changing it's roll by interfacing with an upgrader NPC.
