Costs

In a world in which transport plays an important role in economic activities and the movement of goods and people professional driving skills are increasingly becoming an indispensable asset. However, acquiring this skill isn't affordable. There are numerous costs to think about, including the cost of training and examination. For truck drivers, an Code 95 certificate is necessary to drive trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons in Europe. You must pass a psychological test and medical exam to be eligible for a Code 95 Certificate. The cost of the Code 95 certificate is similar to other types of driving courses. The student must then go to the Road Traffic Safety Directorate and apply for the renewal of their license. The deadline for replacing the licence is six months from the date of completion of the course. This requirement is to ensure that the driver has the necessary competence and knowledge required to operate heavy-duty vehicles. The driver should also know how to read the speed limits and kilometer signs posted on the road.

Options for training

Code 95 on a driver's licence indicates that you have completed the necessary instruction to drive trucks or buses professionally. This is a requirement that you must meet every five years to renew your work permit. The periodical training requires 35 hours of training and can be completed at the driving school or at home (e-learning). It is possible to spread out the course over a period of five years. Code 95 training is divided into two types: the long and short courses. The long course lasts about four weeks in length and ends with a government exam. After passing the exam you will receive an ID card made of plastic. The card must be entered into the database of unified European certificates. Exams
